Recruitment Programs
We welcome employers’ participation in our recruitment programs. Employers may register for a Resume Collect (RC) or virtual On-Campus Interviews (OCI) that will be coordinated by our office. In addition, some employers interview our 3L students for post-grad jobs. We also coordinate a Public Sector Interview Week Program in September for government and public sector employers that are looking to hire 1L and 2L students for summer positions and 3L students for post-grad jobs. Employers select 100 percent of their interview schedule from among many qualified Ë¿¹ÏAPP applicants and identify the dates they prefer to conduct virtual OCI of their selected candidates. Employers in the RC Program interview selected candidates at their own offices.
There is no fee for employers to participate. Register using the under the "Recruitment/Schedule Request" tab.

Hire an Extern
All Ë¿¹ÏAPP externships are positions that run concurrently with the School's academic calendar. Student externs earn academic credits for their work at a court or law office. They are required to work 140 hours a semester (10 to 12 hours per week in the fall and spring semesters and 20 hours per week during the shorter summer session). These positions may be paid or unpaid. We encourage private sector employers to consider paid externship placements.
Law offices may post an externship position using the Ë¿¹ÏAPP Job Form. Once a law office selects a student, the student must apply to participate in the externship course, and Ë¿¹ÏAPP will contact the placement to discuss the externship. To confirm participation, the mentor attorney, student extern, and faculty member supervising the externship will sign a Memorandum of Understanding.
Judges interested in hosting Ë¿¹ÏAPP externs may contact the Office of Academic Planning and Career Development for more information at 212.431.2345 or externships@nyls.edu.
